A HOLOCAUST survivor shared his "emotional" story with Rowley Regis students.
Uri Winterstein's visit to St Michael’s Church of England High School on Friday (April 27) was organised by The Holocaust Educational Trust.
He spoke to youngsters about his life before and after the Holocaust before opening up the floor for a question and answer session.
Teacher Rachel Banno said: "The students were that engaged with Uri that you could hear a pin drop.
"It's important for students to listen to someone first hand to know what happened during the Holocaust, it makes it more real and heartfelt.
"It touched every single student and member of staff that was in there during the event."
Chloe Gladwin, aged 13, said: "Uri's story was touching and inspiring to everybody," while 13-year-old Sydney Johns-Hartill added: "It was really powerful and passionate. Uri was raising awareness to our generation about genocide and racial situations happening in the world today."
