Sandwell Council has been given £50,000 by the Government to help households affected by the recent flooding.
The money will be used to make a one-off payment to those in need to enable them to clean up after the freak weather conditions.
Councillor Steve Eling, Sandwell Council's deputy leader and cabinet member for strategic resources, said: "Although the flooding was not widespread in the borough, there were some roads which suffered flooding and consequently some properties were fairly severely damaged.
"This one-off payment is not a substitute for an insurance claim.
"It's about giving people some emergency, humanitarian assistance to help them through this difficult time."
The payments will be made to all households, whether council-owned, privately owned or rented and irrespective of the level of damage.
