Halesowen and Rowley Regis MP Sylvia Heal is backing a new campaign which aims to raise the profile of the Samaritans.
The Samaritans 24:7 campaign will show the services provided by the charity and highlight its need for volunteers and funds to keep on running.
The 24 hour helpline, which has provided support for over 50 years, needs £15 million a year and relies entirely on fundraising and donations from the public and companies.
Sylvia said: "The campaign will raise the profile of the Samaritans ensuring they reach those in difficulty and need them most."
Anyone interested in volunteering for the Samaritans should visit the website at www.samaritans.org to find out how.
