Quinton youngsters could be set for a brighter future if plans to light a popular recreation ground get the go ahead.
An application to build four floodlights at a multi use games area on West Boulevard recreation ground has been submitted to the council.
The lights would be fitted on the top of poles measuring eight foot, and it is hoped the installation will provide youngsters with a safe place for recreation.
Local residents had until Thursday August 9 to comment on the application.
