HUNDREDS of visitors were greeted by sunny weather and top quality music as the fourth Mayfly festival was praised by organisers as the best yet.
Held at Old Halesonians Rugby Club, the festival treated visitors to a range of music from the movies, The People’s Orchestra, dance and drama performances and short films from media students at Halesowen College.
Local businesses also took part in the event, which was organised by music performance and technology students from the college, with support from photography, graphics, public services, media, dance and musical theatre pupils.
Organiser Steve McCarthy, course leader in music performance at Halesowen College, said: “This year’s festival has no doubt been the biggest and best ever – thanks to all the students for their hard work and organisation skills.
“We had a great day and evening and everyone should be very proud of their achievement.”
