Quinton residents should be set for a peaceful few months thanks to new powers tackling anti-social behaviour.
Police in the area have been granted a dispersal order which gives officers the ability to break up groups of two or more people they believe are causing a nuisance.
The order, which runs until the end of November, covers a large area from the Quinton Expressway to Woodgate Valley.
Richard Stewart, Police Community Support Officer at Quinton Police Station, said the order was part of a summer long campaign to combat anti-social behaviour.
He said: "We are determined to deter the unacceptable behaviour of the minority who persist in offending.
"We would encourage local residents to support our campaign by providing police with any information regarding anti-social behaviour or intimidation."
Anyone with information relating to anti-social behaviour or any other problems in the area should contact Quinton police in 0845 113 5000.
