THE dates for the summer round of Dudley Council's community forums have been announced.

The meetings give people the opportunity to meet with their councillors and a representative from the police.

People are able to put forward ideas to improve their area and raise any issues or concerns.

The first meeting will be the Halesowen North and Halesowen South community forum on Monday, June 18 at Hurst Green Primary School.

On Wednesday, June 20, three forums will be held including the Belle Vale Hayley Green and Cradley South forum at Earls High School, Brierley Hill, Brockmoor and Pensnett forum at Dudley Sports and Social Club and Castle and Priory, St James’s and St Thomas’s forum at St Barnabas Church.

The Kingswinford North and Wall Heath, Kingswinford South and Wordsley meeting will take place at Kingswinford Royal British Legion Club on Thursday, June 21.

Elsewhere that evening the community forum for Netherton, Woodside and St Andrews, Quarry Bank and Dudley Wood will be held at Dudley Watersports Centre and the Norton, Pedmore, Stourbridge East, Wollaston and Stourbridge Town meeting will take place at Ham Dingle Primary School.

On Monday, June 25 the Coseley East and Sedgley Community Forum will take place at Christchurch C of E Primary School.

The final meetings in this round will take place on Tuesday, June 26 and include the community forum for Amblecote, Cradley, Wollescote, Lye and Stourbridge at Lye Community Centre and for Gornal, Upper Gornal and Woodsetton at The Baggeridge Social Welfare Centre.

All meetings start at 6.30pm.

Councillor Patrick Harley, leader of Dudley Council, said: “It’s really important that we have the time to meet with residents to talk about their ideas and the issues that matter to them so that we can work together to make the borough a better place to live.

"These discussions form an important part of our democracy and I hope people are able to join us at their local meeting.”
