The 2018's summer reading challenge is themed around 'Mischief Makers’. Children between four and 11 can take part, with a special under fours challenge and a teen’s challenge for those aged 12 and over also available.

Councillor Ian Kettle, Dudley Council’s cabinet member for regeneration, said: “Children across the borough will be understandably excited today as they break up for the summer holiday, but we know parents will be busy looking for ways to keep them occupied.

“Our wide ranging school’s out programme offers something for everyone including sporty fun, teddy bears picnics, live music, crafting workshops and reading challenges so there is no need for anyone to be bored this summer.”

A round-up of all activities, as well as details on how to book, can be found on the council’s ‘school’s out’ page which can be found by clicking here.
