A CRADLEY church is set welcome Coventry organist Sue Hill to perform as part of its 2018 series of music.

The free recital, which will take place on Saturday, August 4, will last for 45 minutes and will be followed by refreshments.

James Brookes, church organist, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Sue to give the third concert in our series for 2018.

“The audience will have a great view of Sue at the console as a camera will give a live video feed onto a big screen.”

Although the concert is free, there will be a plate for any donations to the Cradley Heritage Clock Project.

Money is being raised to restore the clock dial from the now demolished St Luke’s Church in Cradley Heath before it is installed onto the St Peter’s tower – in a bid to “keep the memory of St Luke’s alive”.
