MOTORISTS and residents in Halesowen are being warned to expect disruption as a street cleaning operation closes one of the town’s rural roads.
The section of Illey Lane which is within Dudley borough will be shut to traffic on Sunday, August 12, from 6am until 1pm, to allow the cleansing to be undertaken.
Diversions will be in place for eastbound traffic via Bromsgrove Road, Grange Hill, Manor Way, Manor Lane, Carters Lane, Woodgate Lane, Wood Lane, Kitwell Lane.
For westbound traffic the route will take in Kitwell Lane, Wood Lane, Woodgate Lane, Lapal Lane South, Manor Way, Grange Hill, Bromsgrove Road.
A spokesman for Dudley Council said access to frontages will be maintained “where safe to do so”.
