A MAGICAL father and son duo have teamed up with a Halesowen coffee shop to bring an evening of fun, cake and illusions to the town centre.

Comedy magicians George and Alex Rowley are working their magic with Pete and Lindsey Mays, owners of Coffee Calling.

The pair will bring their interactive, comedy mind-reading show called ‘Game of Thoughts’ to the High Street venue at 7pm on Wednesday, August 15.

Alex said: “We’re both really excited to work together, support each other’s businesses and be able to bring something new to Halesowen.

“Our own brand of comedy magic works perfectly with Coffee Calling’s warm and friendly atmosphere. Plus you get to have cake! Who can argue with that?”

Tickets for the show cost £10 and are available on the door, or in advance from www.mindsways.com/got/

Both businesses are family-run with social consciences at their heart.

Coffee Calling donates any left-over sandwiches twice-weekly to the local food-bank, and George and Alex are working with the Black Country-based charity Beacon Centre to train the staff in ‘magical’ skills.

Together they hope bringing a comedy magic show to Halesowen will inspire more artists to use the town as an exciting opportunity to perform, as well as bring in more trade and interest from across the Black Country.
