BRITAIN'S Got Talent contestant Donchez Dacres has been signed up to perform in a charity pantomime in Stourbridge this autumn.

Fresh from finishing third on the TV talent search earlier this year, Wolverhampton-based Donchez has agreed to star in Mary Stevens Hospice's forthcoming fundraising pantomime production of Cinderella, which will be staged at Stourbridge Town Hall in November.

The 61-year old AA worker captured the hearts of the nation with his Wiggle and Wine song, which prompted David Walliams to hit the golden buzzer to send him straight through to the semi-final of the nationwide talent competition.

And Amanda Bowen, deputy head of fundraising and lottery at Mary Stevens Hospice said: “Much like the rest of the nation, we were wiggling and wining from the moment he appeared on our screens and we could not be more thrilled that he's joined the cast for this show.

"Community is at the heart of everything we do here at the charity, and to be able to let our supporters know that a performer of his calibre will be on hand to entertain them in support of the families relying on our care is just such a special thing to be able to do.

"So, we'd just like to say thank you to Donchez for his support of our work and for joining the cast and we simply can't wait for opening night now, we've got more than a few tricks up our sleeve and we know that our audience are going to be absolutely blown away."

Cinderella is set to run at Stourbridge Town Hall from Wednesday November 28 to Friday November 30.

The production will run for five shows, following the huge success of the hospice's first ever panto The Wizard of Oz which was staged in January and starred former X Factor contestant Wagner as the Wizard.

All three performances sold out so hospice bosses decided to increase the number of performances this time round.
