A Halesowen councillor has praised residents who helped him raise more than £16,000 for two borough charities.
John Woodall, who was Mayor for the 2006/07 year, brought in £16,200 for good causes.
The cash has been split between Cancer Support at the White House in Dudley and The Kids Orchard Centre in Lye.
The money was handed over at a reception held in the Mayor's parlour.
Cllr Woodall said: "I had great fun raising the money for these two very worthwhile charities.
"I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the generous people who helped raise this fantastic total."
