An Oldbury teenager has been convicted of stealing an NSPCC charity collecting tin.

Nineteen-year-old Jack Mitchell, of St Michaels Court, Causeway Green Road, was fined £100 and ordered to pay £5 compensation to the NSPCC after stealing the collection tin from BP Connect.

Halesowen Magistrates on Monday September 17 also convicted Mitchell of stealing a mobile phone worth £115. He was fined £100, ordered to pay £70 court costs and £115 compensation to the victim.

He was also convicted of failing to surrender to custody having previously been released on bail. He was fined £25 and ordered to pay £15 compensation.

In court on Monday September 10: Wayne Grantham, aged 38, of Hammersley Close, Halesowen was convicted of driving while using a mobile phone. He was fined £125 and ordered to pay £15 compensation and £45 court costs. He also received three licence penalty points.

Fahad Hussain, aged 22, of Codsall Road, Halesowen, was convicted of driving without a test certificate. He was fined £50, ordered to pay £15 compensation and ordered to pay £45 court costs.

Rebecca Shilvock, aged 32, of Firth Drive, Halesowen, was given three licence penalty points for driving a vehicle she was not licensed to drive.

In court on Tuesday September 11: Banaris Ali, aged 26, of Clyde Street, Cradley Heath, was convicted of drink driving. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months, to be reduced by three months on successful completion of a rehabilitation course. He was fined £100 and ordered to pay £15 compensation and £70 court costs.

Tarot Allport, aged 31, of Crimmond Rise, Halesowen, was convicted of possessing heroin. He was handed a 12 month conditional discharge order and ordered to pay £70 court costs.

Glynn Smith, aged 18, of Colman Hill Avenue, Cradley, was convicted of destroying furniture to the value of £200 - £300. He was handed a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £200 compensation to the owner of the furniture.

In court on Thursday September 13: Julian Foden, aged 39, of Summer Hill, Halesowen, was convicted of drink driving. He was handed a 12 month supervised community order. He was also disqualified from driving for two years and ordered to pay £70 court costs.

Anthony Hodnett, aged 31, of Princess Road, Oldbury, was convicted of driving without insurance. He was fined £70 and ordered to pay £70 court costs.

He was also convicted of failing to stop after an accident. He was handed nine licence points and fined £90.

The defendant was also convicted of causing damage to another vehicle and failing to report the incident within 24 hours. He was fined £90 and ordered to pay £15 compensation.

Ahmed Abdulgalil, aged 26, of Blackberry Lane, was convicted of causing £500 worth of damage to a rear car window. He was handed an 18-month conditional discharge, and ordered to pay £70 court costs.

In court on Friday September 14: Graham Mills, aged 46, of Grange Road, Old Hill, was convicted of failing to stop and provide details after an accident, which caused injury to another person. He was handed eight licence points, fined £70 and ordered to pay £300 compensation to the victim.

The defendant was also convicted of failing to report the incident to the police within 24 hours. He was fined £70.

He was also convicted of driving his car without due care and attention and was fined £40.

In court on Tuesday September 18: Steven Slater, aged 25, of Radbourne Drive, Cradley, was convicted of possessing cocaine. He was fined £80 and ordered to pay £70 costs and £15 compensation.

In court on Friday September 21: Sally Ashman, aged 29, of Wallace Rise, Timbertree, Cradley Heath was convicted of driving a vehicle she was not licensed to drive. She was fined £100 and ordered to pay £43 costs.

The defendant was also convicted of driving without insurance. She was disqualified from driving for six months and was fined £400.

Lee Roberts, aged 28, of Ash Street, Cradley Heath was convicted of driving without insurance. He was fined £400 and ordered to pay £43 costs. He was also handed six licence points. The defendant was also convicted of driving without a test certificate. He was fined £25.

Julius Gayle, aged 47, of Uffmoor Estate, Hayley Green, Halesowen, was convicted of driving while disqualified and was jailed for 12 weeks.

He was also convicted of driving without insurance and was given six licence points.

In court on Monday September 24: Earl Beckles, aged 57, of Hodges Drive, Oldbury, was convicted of speeding. He was handed three penalty points and was fined £125 with £45 costs.

Harinder Bhandal, aged 40, of Beecher Road, Halesowen, was convicted of failing to identify the driver when asked by the police. He was handed three licence penalty points and ordered to pay £15 compensation, £45 court costs and fined £125.

Gareth Lawrence, aged 26, of Hope Street, Halesowen, was convicted of failing to identify the driver when asked by the police. He was handed three licence penalty points and ordered to pay £15 compensation, £45 court costs and fined £125.

Richard Siviter, aged 18, of Lyttleton Avenue, Halesowen, was convicted of driving without due care and attention. His licence was endorsed with three points and he was fined £70 with £35 costs.

Daniel Walker, aged 27, of Ankerdine Court, Halesowen, was convicted of speeding. His licence was endorsed with three points and he was fined £125 with £45 costs.

Melvyn Foster, aged 55, of Abbey Road, Cradley, was convicted of drink driving. He was disqualified from driving for three years, to be reduced by nine months on successful completion of a rehabilitation course. He was also fined £350 and ordered to pay £325 costs.

Duane Myrie, aged 24, of Lockington Croft, Halesowen, was convicted of not having a television licence. He was fined £100 and ordered to pay £60 costs.

Karrianne Yates, aged 33, of Abbey Road, Halesowen, was convicted of not having a television licence. He was fined £75 and was ordered to pay £60 costs.

In court on Thursday September 27: Matthew Barrett, aged 18, of Margaret Avenue, Halesowen, was convicted of failing to provide a breath test.

He was disqualified from driving for 12 months, to be reduced by three months on successful completion of a rehabilitation course. He was fined £200 and ordered to pay £15 compensation and £75 costs.

Richard Tolley, aged 36, of Reservoir Road, Rowley Regis, was convicted of driving a car he was not licensed to drive. He was fined £50 and ordered to pay £43 court costs.

The defendant was also convicted of driving without insurance. His licence was endorsed with eight points and he was fined £150.
