A TALENTED student at Halesowen College has had his first ever photograph published - in a national newspaper.
Gareth Evans is studying photography at the college on Whittingham Road as well as working for Sport Press Photo (SPP) taking photos at football matches around the West Midlands.
The 19-year-old was covering a game between Birmingham City and Arsenal Women at St Andrews when he took a photograph of Vivianne Miedema appealing to the linesman about a decision.
The snap, showing her frustration, has made it into The Guardian.
Gareth said: “When I saw the photo and article I had the biggest smile on my face, I was genuinely so happy and proud of myself to have my first image in a newspaper.”
Gareth is studying a HNC in Photography.
