Voters were going to the polls across Halesowen today (Thursday) to have their say in the local elections.

Councillors on Dudley, Sandwell and Birmingham councils were all up for re-election.

In Halesowen only one ward has a Labour councillor - Gaye Partridge in Cradley and Foxcote - who was fighting to hold onto her seat. In other wards Tory councillors are hoping to carry on representing the electorate.

Tory candidate David Vickers, who replaces veteran councillor Harold Jackson, is hoping to retain the Halesowen North seat for the party.
