NEW homes on a former foundry site in Oldbury are now up for grabs.

The Junction, on Fountain Lane, offers a range of one and two-bedroom apartments, and two, three and four-bedroom homes.

The homes have been built on the former foundry site, which had been disused for more than 20 years, thanks to a funding scheme to encourage building on brownfield sites.

Work started back in 2021.

Through a £3.95m investment from the West Midlands Combined Authority’s Brownfield Land Fund, the space was cleared to make way for 234 new homes – with almost half to be made available as affordable housing and around 120 to be sold on the open market by Lovell Homes.

Lisa Preston, regional sales director at Lovell Homes, said: “The Junction is a beautiful and modern development that’s set to create a thriving new community.

"Its location is perfect, with local amenities like Oldbury Green retail park only a stone’s throw away, meaning quick trips to the supermarket and a plethora of other stores are conveniently within walking distance.

“We’ve seen strong interest in the already released for sale, not only due to this being a long-awaited development in an area where demand outweighs availability, but due to the strength of our house types and the added energy efficiency benefits that house hunters recognise as a benefit for choosing new over second-hand.

"We’re encouraging anyone considering making a move to book an appointment with us as soon as they can.”

Prospective buyers can now book an appointment and sign up to be alerted for new open market releases by calling 01217 561 273.
