FOOD hygiene ratings have been awarded to 13 restaurants, takeaways and pubs across Halesowen, Stourbridge and Dudley.

The Lockside Steakhouse on Enville Street, Stourbridge, was handed a five rating on September 19.

The Redforte on Bridgnorth Road, Wollaston, was rated two on October 2.

Maliks Restaurant at Dudley Road, Lye, was handed a two rating on August 1.

Pubs, bars and nightclubs:

The Swan Inn at Gospel End Street, Sedgley, was rated five on September 22.

Why Not Inn at Why Not Inn Whynot Street Cradley, Halesowen, was rated two on June 13.

Takeaways:

Brockmoor Fryer at High Street, Brockmoor, was rated four on September 13.

Madina Tandoori Take-Away on Bilston Street, Sedgley, was also rated four on September 13.

The Green Olive on Albion Parade, Wall Heath, Kingswinford, was handed a four rating on September 13.

Kent Rd Fish Bar on Kent Road, Halesowen, was rated four on August 9.

A K Grill on Long Lane, Halesowen, was handed a three rating on September 13.

Blakey's Eastern Memories on High Street, Brierley Hill, was rated three on September 13.

Saporito Pizza on Windmill Hill, Halesowen, was rated three on September 13.

Dixy Chicken at High Street, Brierley Hill, was handed a one rating on September 12.

The ratings have been published on the Food Standards Agency’s website which rates businesses from zero to five so customers can make more informed choices about where to buy and eat food.

A rating of five means hygiene standards are very good, four means hygiene standards are good, three means hygiene standards are generally satisfactory, two means some improvement is necessary, a rating of one means major improvement is necessary and a rating of zero means urgent improvement is required.
