THE HALESOWEN Career Expo will bring together job hunters and firms this week.

The event will run at the Cornbow Shopping Centre on Friday (March 1) from 10am to 1pm.

James Morris MP has been working with Halesowen BID, Halesowen College and the Department for Work & Pensions to bring the 2024 Career Expo to Halesowen.

It will be the 13th event of its kind since James became MP for Halesowen & Rowley Regis back in 2010, and exhibitors that will be attending include METT Recruitment, West Midlands Police, Lander Automotive and Smartworks.

James is encouraging local people of any age, who are looking for a job or training opportunity, or considering a career change, to come along to the Cornbow Centre on Friday and see what’s on offer.

James said: “Since I became an MP in 2010, widening the choice of local job and training opportunities has been one of my key priorities.

“Many who’ve attended my previous jobs & skills fairs have been surprised by the amount and the variety of opportunities on offer, and I know the exhibitors will be happy to answer any questions and will hopefully put people on the path to an exciting new career.”

Vicky Rogers, Halesowen BID Manager, said: “We’re delighted to be working with James Morris again, as well as Halesowen College and the DWP, to bring another annual Career Expo to the Cornbow Centre.

“With so much on offer, the Careers Expo benefits local employers just as much those seeking work or a new opportunity, and we look forward to seeing everyone on Friday.”
