Child-size Kings, Queens, jesters and knights took over Colley Lane Primary School when youngsters took part in a Medieval Day.
The Year 1 pupils dressed up to mark the end of a project about castles which has seen them make shields, invent riddles and learn how to weave throughout the term, as well as pay a visit to Warwick Castle Children enjoyed a Medieval banquet featuring cake, crusty bread and fruit punch and learned a Medieval dance to Greensleeves on the special day.
Key Stage 1 co-ordinator Jill Horton said: “The children absolutely loved learning about castles and looked fantastic in their fancy dress outfits.”
