Budding stars took to the stage last week when Corngreaves Primary School held a talent competition in the style of Britain’s Got Talent.

Based on the popular ITV show, Corngreaves Got Talent featured young singers, dancers, comedians and other variety acts who performed in front of an audience of school staff, parents and fellow teachers.

Acts were judged by a panel of judges including head teacher Tracy Ruddle.

Four-year-old Madison Homer, who attends Corngreaves Pre-school, won a first prize trophy for her performance of the popular children’s rhyme Daisy Bell.

Runners-up were Emmy O’Brien from Year 3 and Emily Southern, Chloe Hughes, Brittany Stewart and Mehreen Adil from Year 4, who all received a certificate.

Julie Guest from the school said:”It was a fabulous event and the children all did really well. Simon Cowell would have been impressed!”
