Local schools will receive over £180,000 of funding thanks to Active Kids vouchers from Sainsburys in Blackheath.

In total 59 schools claimed vouchers with Lutley Primary School and Highfields Primary School among the high earners, both of which managed to gather over £11,000 worth of vouchers.

Other schools such as Rowley Hall Primary School, Hurst Green Primary School, Newfield Park Primary School and Howley Grange Primary School collected between £7,000 and £9,000 pounds each.

Schools can use the vouchers to spend on sports equipment or activities for pupils.

Sainsburys Blackheath spokesperson Paul Mole said: “We are incredibly pleased with the amount of money going to schools in the surrounding area.

“Sainsburys customers should give themselves a pat on the back for the great work they've done in collecting vouchers to create a positive effect on the community.”
