The history and beliefs at religious landmarks in Cradley Heath and Oldbury is set to feature in a tourist trail.
The Faith Trail, produced jointly in partnership with the Sandwell Multi-Faith Network and the council’s tourism office, will officially launch this Saturday October 11.
Spread over the borough the route takes in Jangchub Ling Buddhist Meditation centre, in Sydney Lane, Cradley Heath, Oldbury New Testament Church of God in Church Street and the Shri Venkateswara Temple in Dudley Road East.
Councillor Linda Horton, Sandwell council’s cabinet member for culture and leisure, said: “We hope many people, whether they are religious or not, will find the trail very interesting and enjoyable.
With the trail we have tried to give a flavour of the many religions and religious buildings in Sandwell.”
Information on the Faith Trail is available at www.visitwestbrom.com and www.sandwellchurcheslink.com.
