Conservative parliamentary candidate James Morris visited Tenterfields Primary School in Halesowen as part of a programme of visits he is making to schools and colleges across the constituency.

James met with headteacher Shelagh O'Loughlin and chairman of governors Melanie Case as part of a tour of the school on Friday October 10.

He then chatted to mums and toddlers using the Tenterfields Children's Centre.

James said: "It was interesting to hear from Shelagh and Melanie about the great work they are doing at Tenterfields and the challenges they face in the future.

"As someone who has been a school governor myself I know the pressures headteachers and governing bodies face in balancing the need to drive up standards and comply with government regulations and paperwork."
