Charities and organisations are set to benefit from hundreds of pounds raised in an Oldbury sports contest.

The Barlow Trust’s Oldbury Charity Sports competition raised cash for Grafton Lodge elderly persons home and Bradbury House Day Hospice - as well as St Michael’s C of E High School in Rowley Regis.

The contests involved football team’s from the Warley Sunday League and squads from the Langley Dominoes League.

The teams recently met with Mayor of Sandwell councillor Bob Price who praised their efforts.

Cllr Price said: “I would like to thank the local dominoes and football teams who have raised funds by competing for the Barlow trophies.”
