Minister marks Halesowen bus station opening

A top politician paid a visit to Halesowen to celebrate the official completion of the town’s £30million regeneration.

Transport Minister Paul Clark officially opened the town’s new bus station on Monday February 23 - one of the cornerstones of the project.

Other major building schemes included a new ASDA storem, multi-storey car park and new units in the Cornbow Centre.

Transport Minister Paul Clark MP said: "I am delighted to see for myself the great work that has been going on in Halesowen to provide a magnificent facility for local passengers, and I hope it will encourage even more people to leave their cars at home.”

The official opening was also attended by Halesowen and Rowley Regis MP Sylvia Heal, assistant regional minister for the West Midlands Lynda Waltho MP and Mayor of Dudley councillor Ray Burston.
