Machete-wielding robbers escaped with less than £15 after raiding a shop near Halesowen.
Police are appealing for information following the incident at Balmoral Garage, on Bromsgrove Road, Hunnington, yesterday afternoon at around 3.45pm.
Three people in a small to medium blue car drove on to the forecourt of the garage before two occupants entered the shop and, armed with machete-style knives, demanded staff to open the till.
The offenders stole a plastic tray containing less than £15 before returning to the car and driving off towards Halesowen.
No one was hurt during the incident.
The offenders are described as male, five feet six inches to five feet seven inches tall and of medium build. Both wore balaclava-type masks and dark clothing.
Detective Constable Kevin Hadley, from Bromsgrove CID, said: “A full investigation into this incident has been launched and we are appealing for anyone who noticed the blue car near the garage in Bromsgrove Road or saw any unusual activity in Hunnington on Wednesday afternoon to give police a call.”
