Former pupils of a Halesowen school should be picture perfect to celebrate its 40th anniversary.

Hurst Green primary, on Narrow Lane, marks the event next month.

The school is urging former pupils to send in pictures, stories and keepsakes to be used in a special Memories of Hurst Green exhibition which opens on Thursday April 2.

Former staff will be treated to a tour of the school, while there will also be a Maypole dance performed by current pupils.

Claire Richards, extended service cluster co-ordinator for Hurst Green, said: “We are asking for former pupils, teachers and staff to write to us and tell us what it was like Hurst Green in their day, and dig out any old photos they may have.”

Councillor Liz Walker, cabinet member for children’s services, said: “It’s a wonderful achievement for the school and I hope many of the old pupils and staff come along to help it celebrate this anniversary.”
