BASS player and singer Pete Williams, of 70s rock band Dexys Midnight Runners fame, is tuning up to pass the beat to would-be music makers in a unique evening course at a Halesowen school.
Adult students, aged 19 and over, will be taking notes from the rock artist during a six-week course on song writing, composition and recording, using the latest digital technology at Leasowes Community College.
Any style of music from baroque to rock can worked on during the Thursday sessions from 7pm until 9pm.
Adult education manager Chris Norton said: “ We are encouraging all people interested in music and technology to come together and learn and are delighted to have someone of Pete’s standing to lead the course. It is great for Leasowes.”
Anyone interested in joining the course, which starts after half term should contact Chris on 01384 816287.
