If your idea of bliss is spending a few hours titivating your topiary or pruning your pyracantha then a visit to the BBC Gardeners’ World Live show at The NEC will be right up your garden path.

With more to see than ever before this show gives green-fingered types the chance to get up close and personal with their favourite TV experts as well as gaining inspiration from the 25 beautiful show gardens which are jam-packed with imaginative planting schemes.

Visitors are encourage to vote for their favourite among the exhibits which include a Somerset seaside garden, a nursery rhyme-themed garden designed by primary school children, a restaurant roof garden, an urban retreat and a credit munch garden intended to inspire families on a tight budget.

New Gardeners’ World presenter Toby Buckland will join Carol Klein, Joe Swift and a host of other famous faces giving live gardening demonstrations in the Celebrity Theatre and the BBC2 Gardeners’ World team will be gardening live in the new Live Garden feature.

The Grow Your Own Area has tips for living the good life and producing great tasting, fruit, vegetables and herbs and on the Live Allotment experts and celebrities will demonstrate the essentials of successful allotment gardening.

There also exhibits from more than 100 specialist nurseries in the RHS Floral Marquee where there is also an opportunity to buy rare and unusual varieties.

You can wander down the Plant Mall for ideas and take cuttings from your favourite garden plants - or why not take part in the Plant Swap where you can trade in one of your plants for the one from someone else’s garden.

Entry to BBC Gardeners’ World Live includes admission to the BBC Summer Good Food Show which has mouth-watering ideas for summer entertaining.

Foodies will love sampling the tasty titbits on offer from numerous stands manned by the country’s best producers and artisans.

Celebrity chefs including James Martin, Ainsley Harriott, The Hairy Bikers and Angela Hartnett will share their ideas for light and luscious menus from the Summer Kitchen stage and there will be practical demonstrations from experts on topics such as filleting fish and making perfect pasta on the How Do I? stage.

There will be tips on serving long, cool drinks for hot summer days and Beers of the World Live will include hourly masterclasses and advice on what to look for when choosing an ale or a lager.

And each visitor will receive a free Show Guide, worth £10, which is packed with delicious seasonal recipes from celebrity chefs.
