Halesowen man captures jazz festival on film

THE 25th anniversary of the Birmingham Jazz Festival is being filmed for the first time to mark the milestone by a film company headed by Halesowen businessman Richard Westhead.

Performances are being captured live by Chamber TV at a host of venues across the city for viewing via the internet at www.birminghamjazzfestivaltv.com along with interviews with artists and organisers providing a long-lasting taste of the festival to fans who cannot make every gig.

Richard, Chamber TV’s managing director, said: “We are delighted to be able to provide Birmingham Jazz Festival TV for our online viewers with the highlights of such a historic event for the first time in years and furthermore to be able to exclusively film and archive this type of video.

“Events like this can only help to increase our viewing audience on a worldwide level. CTV now has 50 online IPTV channels ranging from Local WM News, films and music to sport, student, business and lifestyle, which can be viewed on our home page www ciptv co uk”

The festival runs until Sunday (July 12) with gigs throughout Birmingham, and including Europa Jazzband with Val Wieman at Lapal House, Halesowen, at 2pm on the closing day.
