AN inquest has been opened into the death of a 61-year-old man who died in a road smash in Belbroughton at the weekend.

David Coldicott from Halesowen died at the scene on the A491 Stourbridge Road after the pushbike he was riding was struck from behind by a car on Saturday July 4.

An inquest was opened earlier today (Wednesday July 8) at Stourport Coroners Court - and was adjourned for reports.

Meanwhile witnesses to the crash - which happened at 5.25pm - are being urged to contact North Worcestershire’s Road Policing Unit at Rubery on 0300 333 3000.
