CANNABIS worth around £50k has been seized during two police operations in Cradley Heath.
Intelligence provided by the local community allowed officers to execute warrants at two addresses, where more than 100 plants were recovered.
Both premises were being used as elaborate cannabis factories, and officers have since arrested four people suspected of supplying drugs in the area.
The four men, aged aged 23, 26, 26 and 56, remain on police bail subject to ongoing investigations.
The successful raids in Cradley Heath follow similar good work undertaken earlier in the year, when officers from the Old Hill and Cradley Heath neighbourhood police team seized over £500k worth of cannabis at an unrelated location in the town.
Neighbourhood Sergeant Colin Gallier said, “West Midlands Police take instances of drug crime very seriously.
"Cannabis factories or any other kind of drug crime will not be tolerated in Cradley Heath, and we are actively looking to make further successful raids.
“We would like to thank local community members for bringing these crimes to our attention and urge local residents to contact us at any opportunity if they suspect illegal activity.”
Anyone concerned about suspcted criminal activity is urged to contact their local neighbourhood policing team on 0845 113 5000.
