THE administrator of Halesowen Town Football Club has fixed a date for creditors to pick between the two bids lodged for the troubled club.

Gary Pettit from receivers Marshman Price has also revealed the fraud investigation which saw Morell Maison arrested would not prevent the Yeltz being sold.

He said: "I can confirm that the arrest will have no effect on the administration of the club whatsoever."

And Mr Pettit assured Yeltz fans that the sale of the club is going to be straight down the line and neither the Ingrams or Rob McNaughton will get special treatment.

He said: "Both the bids have been approved by the Football Association and will be put before creditors on November 11 to decide which one they choose.

"In terms of acquisition money the two bids are close and with all the shenanigans that has been happening at the club the decision will be put to the creditors to let them decide for themselves."

Gary Willetts, vice chairman of the Yeltz Trust, hopes the club has seen its darkest day.

He said: “The police investigation is just another example of the club being dragged through the mud is has been nothing new.

“Concerning the takeover bids the Trust is leaning towards Rob McNaughton because of his assurances the Trust and the wider fan base will be included in the future of the club and the links of the Ingrams to Morell Maison.”

In a statement concerning Halesowen Towen the FA said today: “Essentially we don't approve bidders. “That is not a matter for us. We work with administrators to ensure that whatever party acquires a club, all FA and league rules are complied with.”
