A HALESOWEN sports and social club had a pink party to raise cash for Breast Cancer.
Somers Sports and Social Club, Grange HIll, is kicking off the fun with raffles, drinks, cakes and nail art.
And one of the club staff, Liam Parkinson, aged 19, was the star attraction after going through the pain barrier and having his legs waxed for increase the coffers.
Joanne Bamford, who runs the Somers Sports and Social club, said :”We did a coffee morning last month for MacMillan so we thought that this month we would do the Pink Parties.
“We raised over £500 and I’d like to give a big thank you to all the people who came along and donated cash. And of course to Liam who braved the pain of having his legs waxed.”
She added: “The club almost closed earlier this year but we took it over the end of June and are turning it around we have built a new bar and will reopen the function room which should be fantastic.”
