The Minister for Europe Chris Bryant is visiting Windsor High School in Halesowen today (Thursday).

During a whistle stop tour of the West Midlands the minister is taking time to meet students at the school’s Spanish Club.

A spokesman for the minister said: “Chris will be joining in a Spanish club with school children at Windsor High School who are twinned with a school in France to promote the importance of learning European languages.

“He will also be presenting the school with their International Schools Award flag.”

The minister is promoting a ‘Bolder Britain in Europe’ and is showcasing how EU funding is helping the West Midlands to get ahead.

The minister said: “I’m pleased to see all the benefits that EU funding has brought to the West Midlands including jobs, education and development for our young people and regenerated local communities.

“The West Midlands is an excellent showcase of how European funding has brought real change and development to areas that need it most. It has helped re-build communities and give young people a focus for the future.”
