TWO young Oldbury men have been jailed for nine years each for raping a schoolgirl outside a pub in the area.

The court had been told the sex attacks were carried out by the Phoenix pub on the Lion Farm estate in Oldbury last November while there was a party inside the premises.

Kumarlo McKoy, aged 20 of Shinwell Crescent and 18-year-old Donovan Reid, of Ivy House, both Oldbury, were convicted of rape and sexual assault by a jury.

Rory Faulkner, aged 19, of Lower Chapel Street, Tividale, who also played a part in the sex attack was convicted by the jury on a charge of sexual assault and was sent into custody for six years by Judge Nicholas Webb.

He told the offenders at Wolverhampton Crown Court: "The three of you sexually assaulted a young girl and she was subjected to a series of sexual acts."

The Judge said they had "humiliated" their underage victim and added: "I am sure all of you knew how old she was.

"You thought you would get away with it but you didn't.

"The effect on her has been damaging."

The Judge ruled all three defendants - they had denied the charges - should have to remain on the sex offenders' register for the rest of their lives.

Miss Samantha Forsyth defending Faulkner described him as "academically bright" and said he was studying at the time of the incident at Halesowen College.
