Tory candidate in Halesowen and Rowley Regis backs local children's centre

The Tory candidate for Halesowen and Rowley Regis has given his backing to Rowley’s Springfield Children’s Centre.

The centre, which opened as one of Labour’s flagship Sure Start centres in 2001, provides a range of services for children and parents at the Springfield Primary School.

The centre serves the local community in the Brickhouse and Springfield Estates and surrounding area.

James met Jim Anderson, the Children's Centre Manager, to learn more about work of the centre and its current plans and priorities.

Mr Morris said: “Giving children a good start in life is absolutely vital and it was interesting to talk to Jim about the vital work the centre does.

“I was particularly interested to hear about how local agencies and the voluntary sector work together to provide the range of services offered by the centre.”
