LANDSCAPE: 22artsfestJ: The arts festival organiser David Bridge, committee member Ron Sergeant and former Halesowen MP Sylvia Heal.
THIS year’s Quinton Methodist Church Arts and Craft Festival has been declared ‘the biggest and best yet’ by the organisers.
The event was blessed with blazing sun and over 600 local visited the Hagley Road West Church to see over 450 paintings on display as well as crafts from around the area.
Press officer Helena Taylor said: “All money raised will go to this year’s Church Project, REMAP, who make bespoke tools for the disabled.
“Although totals are still to be finalized, it is anticipated that over £2500 will have been raised.”
Winner of the Photographic Competition was Val Martin and runner-up Norma Church and the 59th Girls Brigade Company won the junior photographic competition.
The winner in the seniors category of the miniature garden competition was Jan Jones and the winner in the junior section was Latitia Malone.
The picture voted ‘best in show’ was Lakeland Meadow by Debbie Goostrey.
