BUDDHISTS in Cradley Heath are appealing for stalls to boost their annual summer fair being held in the Mary MacArthur Memorial Gardens.
Sandwell Council has given the green light for the Jangchub Ling Kadampa Buddhist Centre to hold the event there on Saturday June 18.
A spokesman said members were “doubly honoured” to be given the go-ahead as the gardens are in the process of being renovated in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Cradley Heath women chainmakers’ strike, led by Mary MacArthur in 1910.
The centre is hoping to make this year a bumper summer fair and is inviting any local charities, small businesses, organisations and schools to book a stall.
