BLACK Country performers are on a mission to stage much-loved musical Guys and Dolls next month.

The show, about a New York gambler challenged to take a cold female missionary to Havana, is being presented by Cradley Heath's Tab Operatic Society and it will run at Brierley Hill Civic Hall, Bank Street, Brierley Hill, from Tuesday April 12 to Saturday April 16.

David Williams stars as gambler Sky Masterson (famously played by Marlon Brando in the 1955 film version), while Sarah Oliver stars as love interest Sarah Brown who is short on sinners at the mission she runs.

Mathew Beard appears as betting man Nathan Detroit (played by Frank Sinatra in the popular movie) and Louise Griffin will be taking on the character role of Nathan-hungry Adelaide.

Featuring popular songs including Luck Be a Lady, Sit Down You’re Rockin’ The Boat, I’ve Never Been in Love Before and If I Were a Bell - the show is being produced and choreographed by Audree Henwood with musical direction from Richard Ganner.

Tickets for evening performances - which start at 7.15pm nightly - cost £10 and £11, while tickets for the 2pm matinee on Saturday April 16 are £9.

They are available on 07722 417962 or from the civic hall box office any evening after Monday April 4.
