SHORT but heavy showers failed to dampen spirits at a community fun day, hosted by a Buddist centre in a Cradley Heath park.
The Mary Macarthur Memorial Gardens was the venue for the Jangchub Ling Buddhist Meditation Centre’s annual summer fair on Saturday (June 18).
Linda Boswell, on behalf of the centre, said: “Despite a few short but heavy showers, the day proved a great success in bringing members of the local community together.”
Entertainment was provided by Startime Variety, of Halesowen, and Theeko the eco clown, while guests included Sandwell mayor Councillor Joyce Underhill and her consort Councillor Tony Underhill plus members of the Cradley Heath and Old Hill neighbourhood community police team.
