DANCE teachers from an Old Hill academy have launched a double fundraising bid to raise much-need funds for a Black Country hospice.

The team of eight from the Debonnair Dance Academy have been baring almost all for a professionally produced cheeky 2012 calendar.

The Calendar Girls-inspired fundraiser for Compton Hosplice features the women in scenes using a variety of fun props to cover their modesty.

Led by Sarah Floyd, whose late mother-in-law was cared for at the Wolverhampton hospice, the dancers are also appearing as Original Rebellion for the first time in a charity show they are staging at the Birchley Sports and Social Club, Oldbury, next Friday, August 5.

They will perform their own choreographed street, disco and contemporary routines at the Brunel Road club and have booked a line up of other entertainers, including Blackpool tower resident singer, Tony Martin, from Oldbury.

Wolverhampton band The Limelight will perform and the evening, starting at 7pm, will also feature comedy, magic, a disco, raffle, auction and a buffet.

Tickets, priced £7.50 (£6 for children - no charge for under threes) are available by ringing Sarah on 07947209886.
