OLDBURY's Perryfields High School, Maths and Computing College, has got its first A-level results ever.
The college entered pupils for A levels for the first time and out of the 87 examinations taken achieved a 96 per cent pass rate.
Headteacher Dai Meredith said: "This was a small cohort of pupils that we entered and we are absolute delighted by the results.
"What is particularly pleasing is that they were achieved in a good range of subjects from maths to languages which included French, Polish and Japanese," he added.
Cabinet member for children and families Councillor Bob Badham said the results were "extremely pleasing."
He said: "What is especially pleasing is the fact that we are showing year-on-year improvement in our results.
"Only this month our younger children achieved some of the UK's most improved results for maths and English.
"We are the fourth most improved area nationally for 11-year-olds reaching the expected level in Key Stage 2 which has got to be good news for the future," added Councillor Badham.
