STAFF at Blackheath’s Boots announced this week they raised £1,700 for Macmillan Cancer over Christmas.
Workers at the High Street store held a series of raffles and ran the town’s Tree of Light appeal to pull in the money.
Boots and other Blackheath traders donated items to be raffled off for the good cause or sold on a stall at the Christmas lights switch on event.
Boots manager Shirley Ching said £1,200 was raised with Boots agreeing to donate another £500.
She said: “We want to say a huge thankyou to all the traders and residents who supported the appeal.”
The Tree of Light sees people donate to sponsor a light on the tree in memory of a lost loved one.
