Black Country poet to entertain at cancer group

A POET will entertain members of the Halesowen Support Group, rekindling memories and raising a laugh with his Black Country humour.

Trevor Johnson will be the special guest at next Wednesday’s meeting, February 8, at the Halesowen United Church, Hagley Road, from 2pm until 4pm.

Organiser Chris Barron, from the White House Cancer Support group said anyone affected by cancer was welcome.

“Members of the group meet to offer each other support, share experiences and have a chat. Any newcomers to the group will get a warm and friendly welcome, as well as a cup of tea and biscuits,” he added.
