Halesowen and Sandwell shoppers are being asked to support local independent businesses by “showing some love”.
The national 14 Days of Love campaign will use shoppers’ testimonials discover the country’s ‘best loved business’.
The campaign is the brainchild of serial entrepreneur, Nigel Botterill, aims to raise awareness about the plight faced by local businesses.
Mr Botterill said: “The 14 Days of Love is a fantastic way for the general public to show their support for local, independent businesses in Halesowen and Sandwell.
“We’re all aware of the situation the UK economy is currently facing, however this campaign proves that the local community can make a real difference to our economy and pride.”
He added: “We can’t rely on the Government’s support anymore; it’s upto us to make a difference to the survival of our town’s high streets. One way we can do this is by showing some real ‘love’ for our local businesses this February.”
Anyone who submits their recommendations and testimonials for the best businesses will be placed into a daily prize draw which includes a trip on the Orient Express, a luxurious spa day and a Michelin star restaurant dinner for two.
