SHORT Cross Methodist Church is holding drop-in sessions every week for elderly and unemployed people.
The Attwood Street church provide free refreshments and games for people every Wednesday morning who want a bit of company and a chat.
A spokesman for the church said:” We wanted to do something for the local community and thought it would be nice for people who are unemployed or elderly to get the chance to drop in for a chat and free cup of tea and biscuits.
“We’ve a table tennis table, a pool table and of course people can come along and do some knitting if they please.”
The Short Cross Methodist Church Wednesday drop-in sessions are held between 10.30am and noon.
