A NEWLY-formed choir in Halesowen is tuning up for its inaugural concert at a school’s family fun day on Saturday. (April 28) Lutley Community Voices, formed in January, hopes to hit a high note at the event at Lutley Primary School with popular songs including favourites by Take That, Abba and the Beatles.
There will also be a range of stalls, bouncy castles and other attractions at the fun day from noon until 3pm plus performances by the school’s key stage two choir, its orchestra and flute and fife group. Lutley Community Voices music director Margaret Jones, who is also the school’s music co-ordinator said new members were welcome.
No previous choir experience is necessary and rehearsals are at the Brookwillow Road school on Thursdays in term time between 8pm and 9.15pm.
