College becomes first to offer policing course

DUDLEY College has become the first training provider in the West Midlands to launch a new course for people planning a career in the Police.
The 11 week course, which starts in September, is licensed through the National Police Improvement Agency and will provide the necessary policing knowledge needed by those applying to join the force.
Paul Rigden, Centre Manager, said: “The introduction of the Certificate in Knowledge of Policing will change how police recruit, and as a college we were keen to launch this new course, enabling those living in the borough who are looking for a career in the police force, to be the first to complete the new qualification.”
